You can publish the foods and recipes from a FoodWorks database as a datasource for use as food selections in other FoodWorks databases.
To publish the data from a FoodWorks database as a datasource for other FoodWorks users:
- Open the FoodWorks database.
- On the Tools menu, click Publish As FoodWorks Data Source.
- Select the folder(s) to publish.
- Click Publish.
Advanced Options
To select which nutrients are published:
- Click Show Advanced Options.
- Select the required nutrients.
To publish as a file that you can email, copy to a shared folder, post to a website etc:
- Click Show Advanced Options.
- Select Create a FoodWorks Cabinet File.
- Enter the pathname for the file.
Notes
- When you publish your data as a FoodWorks datasource, it is automatically available to you and other users on the same computer.
- When working on a LAN where multiple users are accessing the same FoodWorks databases, it is recommended that you place the database you are publishing in the same folder as the databases that will use the new data source. Then, when you publish your database as a data source, the new datasource is automatically available for other users on the LAN.
