The information in a FoodWorks document is organised as a set of tabbed pages.
The basic steps in editing a FoodWorks document are:
- From the Navigation Pane, open the document.
- Click the tab for the page you want.
- Make changes or enter information as required.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 as required.
- On the toolbar, click Save.
How to enter information:
Into a Recipe or Sub-Recipe
On the General tab:
- Set the general properties for recipes and raw materials
- Declare an ingredient as a recipe or sub-recipe
On the Ingredients tab:
- Enter ingredients into a recipe
- Find the required quantity of an ingredient
- Set the serves
- Set the yield
- Set the serves per pack
- Set retention factors for ingredients in a recipe
- Set options for selecting foods
On the Overrides tab:
- Base nutrient analyses on another food
- Set the final moisture
- Set the cost per 100g
- Declare the presence of allergens
On the Measures tab:
Into a Raw Material
On the General tab:
- Set the general properties for recipes and raw materials
- Declare an ingredient as a compound ingredient
- Declare an ingredient as an additive
- Declare an ingredient as a processing aid
- Declare an ingredient as an inedible component
- Declare an ingredient as a simple ingredient
- Declare an ingredient as a reconstituted ingredient
On the Nutrients & Components tab:
- Base nutrient analyses on another food
- Set the nutrient values for a document
- Set the cost per 100g
- Declare the presence of allergens
On the Measures tab:
